How to See Photographically

To start your career in photography, the main challenge Is to develop your skill to learn and to see the creativity of a scene.

When I start photographing I have the same problem, I can’t make the creative possibilities of a scenes. I always take flat and boring pictures. Sometimes I blame my camera and gear for not letting me take good shoot and sometime I thought I am not in the position to take good photos. I quite photography.

After several I start to shoot again and this time I shoot on frequent basis. Go out on daily basis observing locations, timing, weathers and lights. I start taking notes and observe my progress. And today I established as well visual point of view about any subject by learning from my mistakes that I made previously. And here is some guidelines which I learned from my work and that can helps you develop creativity in your work.

Start from your mind

Before picking up your camera. Take a note and write down your subject of interest.what elements of nature do you particularly like the most. That can anything, human, animal, nature,  and archetiture etc. you may already be clear on this but even if you are write it down as sometimes what you get things out of your heads and living in front of you on your note paper.

Are you like to go out for landscapes, or do you like wildlife?

Write it down on your note. The first as beginner you do is to research about your interest. It will helps you a lot and than take your camera and gear go out for it. When you go out frequently for shoot everyday your work will get better and eventually you will become one of the best. 

As beginner I love butterflies to shoot. My subject of interest is butterfly, so I start my research about butterflies and how visual record than on digital sensor. Learn the  basics of macro photography which helps me a lot. And than I start looking for butterflies habitat. Keep spending time with them observing their behavior because butterfly is very busy creature. They spend mini second on one place. They can’t  be photograph proper without knowing their behavior and pattern of life.

Photographing ordinary as extra ordinary

When you have a complete command on camera setting and the subject you are shooting. You can change an ordinary subject into extra ordinary and unique looks.

Approach your subject different timing

when you are photographing same subject again and again try to photograph it in different time, with different background and angles.

Go out regularly

As beginner photographer one can increase his/her photographic skills from everyday mistakes.so you need to yourself a plenty of time with one single subject. When going out, you are completely unfamiliar with your subject that you are photographing. When you see the same subject regularly , you are photographing it and  make mistakes because everyone as a beginner do mistakes . Next day you will learn from your mistakes and eventually you will  photographing it  as an impactful to the viewer eyes.

Going for boring photographs

Exploring the things around you see how you saw it with rear eye and photographs it with different light, composition and angles. Observe your photographs point out your mistakes whether it is in exposure, compositions or in angles. Observe your mistakes, try to point it out and on next day you will be better than yesterday. Boring photographs helps you to get you to perfection because it will let you observe you mistakes And what  you learn from your mistake is the best lesson.

Understanding light

Sometime creativity in the scenes is because of light because photography is all about paint with light. So light is like a brain in photography. You need to understand and learn how light interact within the scenes.
